Timothy Spall OBE (born February 27, 1957)
is an English actor from Battersea, London.
He has starred in films such as Secrets &
Lies, Shooting the Past, The Last Samurai, as Mr. Poe in Lemony
Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and as Peter Pettigrew in Harry
Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban; more recently he has been in Auf
Wiedersehen, Pet and the moving BBC drama Mr. Harvey Lights a Candle.
Spall also had a memorable performance as
Nick in the claymation film Chicken Run.
His son is the actor Rafe Spall who has
appeared in films such as The Calcium Kid and Shaun of the Dead.
