Early Career
Sugarland have been successful so far in their
music career. They have released two singles titled "Baby Girl" and "Something
More". They both have been hits. Their first album, Twice the Speed of Life has
been certified platinum. In late 2005, the band performed with Bon Jovi on
Country Music Television's musical fusion show, "Crossroads".
All three members were well-known members of
Atlanta's folk/accoustic/rock scene in the 1990's and early 2000's. They played
frequently at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, which Nettle's husband owned for a time.
Nettles graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, and played with Soul
Miner's Daughter (the name is an allusion to her father's occupation as a
minister). Bush played with Billy Pilgrim, and Hall had a solo career that often
crossed paths with the Indigo Girls.
