Stephanie McIntosh Biography

Stephanie McIntosh was born on July 5,
1985 in Melbourne, Australia. Her mother is Sue McIntosh, a former
newsreader for ABC news. She has two older sisters, Katherine and
Olivia and a half-brother, Jason Donovan who is an actor.

As a child she appeared in her school
plays in which she acted, danced and sang.

Her debut appearance on television came
in 2001 when she played Carrie on The Wilde Girls (starring
Olivia Newton John). Over the next few years she appeared in
episodes of other television shows, including As a Row of Tents
in 2002 and as a recurring character named Samantha in the child’s
tv show Legacy of the Silver Shadow (also in 2002). Being
naturally beautiful, she also did some modeling when not in school
or acting.

In 2003, she received her break-through
role as Sky (Bishop) Mangel in the popular UK & Australian soap
opera Neighbors. The role has been challenging and included a
(controversial)
lesbian love relationship with co-star Bridget Neval. For this role,
she was nominated for the 2004 Logie Award for Most Popular New
Female Talent.

In 2004, she signed with well known
manager Glen Wheatley. One of the things Wheatley promised was to
help her pursue a musical career and produce an album.

In April 2006, her manager came true to
his word and she signed a multi-album contract with Universal
Music. Her debut album will be entitled Tightrope and in addition,
she will also be airing a reality television show based on her
experiences in producing the album (ala
Ashlee Simpson). Although she
would like to write more, she only co-wrote one song on the debut,
“So Do I Say Sorry First?”
