Born in Houston, Texas on
September 28th, 1987 to parents Bob and Susan Duff.

Performed in a traveling
Ballet (Cechetti
Ballet) at age six with sister Haylie.

In 1997 she had her first
appearance as an actress in a TV mini-series
entitled True Women.

In 1998 she was nominated for
her first award the Young
Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie/Pilot/Mini-Series or
Series - Young Actress Age Ten or Under for her role in Casper Meets
Wendy.

In 1999 she had her first
true acting role as Ellie in The Soul Collector.

She really rose to fame in
2001 when she took the leading role on the TV show Lizzie McGuire.

In 2002 she released her
first album Santa Clause Lane which had
mild success.

Her fame in the TV series
brought forth a smash hit on the silver screen, Lizzie McGuire, the
Movie in 2003

She also appeared in another
hit movie in 2003, Cheaper by the Dozen.

Besides
her on-screen success, she released her second
album in 2003 to great fan appeal,
Metamorphisis.

In 2004 she released
another self-titled album, Hilary Duff to
even greater success.

After only
two albums, she released a greatest hits album
called Most Wanted and it debuted at #1
in August 2005.

She donated
$250,000 to help survivors of Hurricane Katrina.
