Halle Berry: Biography

  •  Born on August 14th, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. Parents are Jerome and Judith Berry. She also has an older sister named Heidi.

  •  Halle won the Miss Teen All-American Beauty Pageant in 1985.

  •  In 1986 she was the first runner-up in the Miss America Beauty Pageant.

  •  She worked during most of the mid-1980's as a Model.

  •  She began acting, and landed a spot on a TV series entitled Living Dolls in 1989.

  •  In 1991, she was given her first movie role in Jungle Fever

  •  In 1997 she was presented with the Acapulco Black Film Festival’s Career Achievement Award

  •  BET awarded her the Best Actress Award in 2000

  •  2002 was a big year for awards when she won the

    •  Bambi Award for International Film

    •  Image Awards Entertainer of the Year

    •  Women In Film Crystal Award

  •  More recently, she was given the 2004 ShoWest Award for Female Star of the Year
