Denise Richards Biography

Denise Richards was born
on February 17, 1992 in Downers Grove, Illinois
to parents Irv and Joni Richards.

In 1987 she moved with her
family to Oceanside, California. Being in
California, and her being a natural beautiful
teenager, she
turned towards making a a career as a model.

After she graduated from
El Camino H.S. (where she was a cheerleader), she took her modeling and acting
ambitions to Los Angeles.

She made her first movie
appearance, although very short, in 1993 in
National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. However,
it was not until 1997 that she began to get
noticed by the public when she played the role
of Carmen Ibanez in Starship Troopers and
won the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for
Favorite Female Newcomer. This was followed up
by a strong performance the following year in
Wild Things. (Note: She won the MTV Award
for Best Kiss w/ Matt Damon for Wild Things)

Her big break came in
1999, when she was selected as a "Bond Girl" in
the James Bond flick The World is Not Enough.
She is forever on the list of the beautiful and
sexy women to be associated with 007. For her
role in this movie, she was nominated for the
Blockbuster
Entertainment Award for Favorite Actress –
Action.

In 2001, Denise met actor
Charlie Sheen on the set of Good Advice.
Two years later, she made an appearance on the
TV series Spin City (starring Charlie
Sheen) and the two really hit it off.
Their first date is rumored to have been spent
watching a baseball game. They began dating,
became engaged in January 2002, married the
following year, and had their first child Sam
Sheen on March 9, 2004.

Denise continues to do
movies, including the recent horror spoof
Scary Movie 3.
