Clay Aiken: Biography

  •  Clay Aiken was born Clayton Holmes Grissom on November 30, 1978 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Faye Aiken and Vernon Grissom.

  •  He always had a passion for singing, but his other passion took over for most of his life and he became a school teacher.

  •  In 2001 he had his big break in music when he appeared on, and won American Idol, the smash TV music talent contest.

  •  He released his first album, Measure of a Man in 2003 and it instantly became a huge success.

  •  His newest release, Merry Christmas With Love (Dec. 2004) is already a big success and has broken sales records for debut Christmas albums.
