Carmen Electra Biography
-
Carmen Electra was born as Tara Leigh Patrick
on April 20, 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio (located outside of
Cincinnati).
-
She always wanted to be a singer and got her
first big break in 1992 when Prince spotted her singing in Los
Angeles. This led to a contract and an album on Prince's
Paisley Park label, which was a mild success.
-
Her acting career began a few years later in
1997, when she took on a small role as Sulka in the cult film
American Vampire Story. However, it was her role as Lani
McKenzie that same year (to replace Pamela Anderson) in the hit TV
series Baywatch, that really skyrocketed her into stardom.
-
She has starred or appeared in many other
movies and TV shows over the last decade including Scary Movie
(2000), Perfume (2001), My Boss's Daughter (2003) and
Starsky & Hutch (2004). She won the MTV award for Best
Kiss for Starsky & Hutch.
