Bryce Dallas Howard (born March 2, 1981) is an
American actress, and the daughter of Hollywood actor/director Ron Howard and
writer Cheryl Howard. Her first starring role was in M. Night Shyamalan's The
Village. Howard's newest movie is Lady in the Water, a film written and directed
by Shyamalan debuting in May 2006.
Conceived in Dallas, Texas, Howard studied at the
New York University Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Conservatory.
Her debut performance in a feature film came in director Alan Brown's 2003
drama, Book of Love.
She recently signed on to play "Gwen Stacy" in the
upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie.
