For this role he received the Bronze Wrangler Award for Theatrical Motion Picture and was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.  While all this was happening, he also won the 1993 ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow award.

  • He went on to star in many other box-buster films such as Se7en (1995 – MTV Awards for Most Desirable Male and nominated for MTV Award for Best On-Screen Duo w/Morgan Freeman), Twelve Monkeys (1995 – nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and MTV Movie Award for Best Male Performance, and he won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Supporting Actor - Science Fiction and the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor), The Devil’s Own (1997), Seven Years in Tibet (1997 - Rembrandt Audience Award for Best Actor), Meet Joe Black (1998), Fight Club (1999) and Snatch (2000 – nominated for the Golden Satellite Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Comedy or Musical).
