Adam Brody was born on December 15,
1979 in San Diego California. He has two twin (fraternal) brothers,
Matt and Sean.
-
He was not interested in acting until
his later years in Scripps Ranch High School, in fact he was more
interested in becoming a professional surfer. He was a normal kid,
playing sports, hanging with friends and having an after school job
(e.g., worked at Blockbuster). After High School, he began to attend
MiraCosta College in Oceanside, but in 1999, after he moved to Los
Angeles and hired an acting coach and a manager. However, he needed
to lie to his parents, and told them he was transferring to another
college there.
-
He quickly received his first parts on
television, first portraying a young Barry Williams in Growing Up
Brady, a made for TV movie, then appearing on the Amanda Show
in an ongoing Brady Bunch satire as Greg Brady. These gave
him some fame with the younger crowd, which led the way to his role
on MTV’s series Now What. He also appeared in several movies
and on television at this time as well. His most outstanding
television appearance has been as an on-again, off-again love
interest on the Gilmore Girls, in which he had a reoccurring
role. Some of his film credits include roles in the teen classic
American Pie 2, the scary and successful The Ring and the
extreme sport movie Grind.
-
His big break on television came in
2003, when he appeared as Seth Cohen on the popular television
series The O.C., which he is still currently on.
